Project Description
The design vision of the University of MN Physicians- Hilger Face Center is to serve patients and the care team in an innovative setting to support future growth and patient experience. This new space embodies the values of the clinic, world-renowned expertise, partnered with a calming and restorative experience for patients.
“This new UMP Hilger Clinic creates a strong brand and patient experience by creating spaces that help reflect and celebrate the transformations that happen for patients of the clinic,” says Betsy Vohs, Studio BV Founder and CEO.
“Building on the brand of the existing clinic, the expanded clinic uses art, light and textures as key moments throughout the space.”
The patient experience is choreographed, one of ease and privacy. The story of the Hilger family legacy and practice is featured as you enter the space. This gallery wall brings each visitor and patient into the story of the clinic.
The waiting spaces are filled with light and texture. Hospitality and artwork are featured in the lobby to bring a sense of calm and comfort to patients.
The flow of the clinic supports the care team’s workflow and future growth. The patient experience is one of color and light as they move through the spaces.
The exam rooms feel thoughtful and cozy. Filtering light and views to the street, the rooms will put patients at ease with layered lighting, color and details.
Art is showcased throughout the space, not only in the lobby, but also in new areas throughout the clinic. This strong focus on art, brand, and light helps inspire the staff and patients as they move throughout the space.
