Project Description
Kahler Slater partnered with Marmon Mok to design the new Center for Oral Health Care and Research with the University of Texas at San Antonio on their Health Sciences Center campus. The new free standing teaching dental clinic facility allows the University to provide multi-specialty care in one location with an enhanced patient experience.
The new Center for Oral Health Care and Research provides the University the ability to serve more patients in the region and ensures the school's ability to obtain and conduct clinical research, sustaining continued excellence in education. This new clinical training facility enhances educational and clinical interactions between clinical specialties. The patient-centered design incorporates the latest technology and includes comprehensive dentistry, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery suites, periodontics, simulation labs, radiology, clinical research space and faculty practice areas. Located directly adjacent to the University's Medical Center, the new outpatient medical care clinics assist referrals and management of patients with oral health conditions.
