Project Description
The renovation and expansion of the Department of Surgery is being created in phases, based on a master plan developed by Dattner Architects. The Skills Acquisition Innovation Laboratory (SAIL) is Phase III of the project. SAIL is a dynamic facility, providing advanced training in surgical operating procedures and advanced robotic/simulated clinical immersion surgical experiences. The space and syllabus was designed to comply with College of Surgeons requirements. SAIL’s interiors express nature as a changing, complex environment, complementing the stimulating clinical and interpersonal pedagogical aims of the facility.
