Cascade Coil Drapery Inc. and its affiliated company Cascade Coil Defense Systems have introduced GuardianCoil, a blast-mitigation fabric. The metal fabric’s interwoven coils stretch to absorb flying glass splinters and other objects. A special retainment system catches and deposits glass onto the floor below a protected window. Produced in carbon steel or stainless steel in several gauges, four weaves from 3/32 inches to 1/4-inch are available.
