The Illuminating Engineering Society's New York City Section's annual student competition, which is celebrating its 17th year, will hold its competition reception and exhibition Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the 404 Event Space, 404 10th Ave. (near Penn Station) in Manhattan from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. The keynote speaker is architectural engineer Enrique Peiniger, principal of New York City-based Office for Visual Interaction (OVI).

The theme for the 2017 competition is “Light, Scaled.” Students have been asked to “…construct a three-dimensional study that explores the scale of light and its impact on perception.” The competition entries will be on display the evening of the event. The program is free and open to all, but registration is required.
