The IALD Education Trust has announced the application period for it scholarship program. The dates are Sept. 14 – 30, 2018. No applications will be accepted before or after these dates. Scholarships are available to students enrolled in a lighting program at an accredited school. Applicants of all nationalities are encouraged to apply, however applicants must be a current IALD Student member or have a membership application pending at the time of application. Membership information is available on the IALD website.
The two scholarships available are as follows:
- Lighting Design Alliance Scholarship (LDA) is open to graduates and undergraduates from any country. The $2,500 USD scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.
- Thomas M. Lemons Scholarship is made possible by lighting firm Available Light. The scholarship requires that the applicant be a junior, senior, or higher-level lighting design student, and a citizen of the United States. The annual award amount is $4,500 USD and is renewable for a two-year maximum.
To apply, student must register before completing the online application process. Click the 'Register' tab on the IALD home page (Top right hand corner) to create an account. You will need to confirm your email address before you can login.
