
Advanced registration is open for the Illuminating Engineering Society’s (IES) Annual Conference, which will take place in Boston August 9 -11, 2018, at the Westin Boston Waterfront. The conference theme is “Light.Balance.” (#IESLightBalance) and the conference lineup “…provides a range of educational programming—including workshops, seminars, immersive experiences, tours, networking, and paper and poster presentations—on the art, design, science, and research of lighting relevant to lighting professionals, educators, and related design disciplines.”
The conference kicks off with an Emerging Professionals workshop on Aug. 9. The main conference, starting Aug. 10, features a full lineup of presentations including an Opening Plenary Session moderated by Naomi Miller, Senior Scientist, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and speakers George Brainard, Director of Light Research Program, Thomas Jefferson University; Mariana Figueiro, Director, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Katherine Stekr, Associate, Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design; and Jennifer Veitch of the National Research Council.
