San Jose, Calif.-based solid-state lighting company Xicato, which has reported growth of more than 35 percent annually, has expanded its management team based in North America. Specifically the company has announced the promotion of Willem Sillevis Smitt to Vice President of Sales and Marketing Worldwide, Peter Tseng to Vice President of Engineering, and Mike Peanasky to Vice President of Manufacturing.
Sillevis Smitt joined the company in May 2015 as Vice President of Marketing. He has helped develop Xicato’s position on the proposed color rendering metric IES TM-30-15, as well as the product expansion of the XIM module and the launch of the Beauty Series.
Tseng joined Xicato in November 2007. He was instrumental in designing Xicato’s first LED platform, the Xicato Spot Module (XSM), and has since been a key contributor leading product research and development teams for a number of the company’s product lines.
Peanasky joined Xicato in 2011 and has assisted in the company’s business growth as it has moved into high volume production. He was involved in the manufacturing of the XIM and XTM platforms and has been responsible for the company’s large-scale transition of manufacturing to the Philippines.
The promotions allow Xicato to streamline its operations while focusing on continued growth of its intelligent LED modules. “We are dedicated to the continued development of our employees, and these individuals have excelled and demonstrated their ability to effectively lead the team,” said Menko de Roos, CEO of Xicato in a press statement. “I am proud that we have the right leadership in place to continue to grow the business while providing higher service levels.” Xicato was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in in California’s Silicon Valley. It also has offices in China, Japan, and Europe.
