The Lighting Research Center in Troy, N.Y. is holding its annual series of fall lighting institutes, which focus on different areas of investigation such as LEDs and OLEDs, light and health, and photometry. The published fall 2018 schedule is as follows:
LED Lighting Institute: Sept. 25 – 27; Early Registration Deadline: Aug. 31, 2018
The LED Institute is a three-day workshop that focuses on the latest advances in LED and OLED technologies. The workshop has been expanded to include sections of 3-D component printing and connected lighting systems.
Light and Health Institute: Oct. 3 - 4; Early Registration Deadline: Sept. 4, 2018
The Light and Health Institute is a”…two-day seminar for working professionals providing latest research as it can be applied, and the knowledge necessary to improve our modern living environments with circadian-effective lighting to support human health and wellbeing.”
Photometry Institute: Oct. 23 - 24; Early Registration Deadline: Sept. 21, 2018
Participants in the two-day Photometry Institute will “learn about the latest developments in photometric testing and evaluation, including new testing requirements for solid-state light sources and systems.”
Dates for the next Outdoor Lighting Institute are being determined.
Taught by LRC faculty, the workshops offer individuals working in all aspects of lighting and lighting related fields the opportunity to explore the respective topics in depth.
