New LED Partnerships

1 MIN READ

The Zumtobel Group has forged a partnership with Cree that will enable Zumtobel to use Cree’s high-brightness LED chips in new general lighting products and projects across all its brands, and also to enter new market segments for LED lighting. This will strengthen Zumtobel’s footing in the LED market and expand its network of suppliers.

In other LED partnership news, ilumisys is partnering with the State of Michigan to conduct and monitor the replacement of 200 fluorescent tubes in the state’s Escanaba office building with three successive generations of LED lighting over a four-year period. During each phase, improvements in energy efficiency and other features will be made. The partners will collect and share research data, including qualitative user experience data, giving Michigan’s officials the tools to evaluate, design, and implement environmentally friendly energy-saving strategies in other state buildings.
