OLEDWorks, headquartered in Rochester, N.Y., has announced the appointment of Wolfgang Goergen as the Managing Director of OLEDWorks GmbH. Goergen steps into the role previously held by Eric Meulenkamp who will now “…serve on OLEDWorks' Scientific Advisory Board…” and “…continue to push OLED technology forward in the marketplace.”
OLEDWorks is the only OLED light engine and panel manufacturer in the U.S. The company was founded by many of the pioneers in the OLED (organic light-emitting diode) industry. In addition to its Rochester headquarters, it also has production facilities in Aachen, Germany.
According to the press release, Goergen will oversee strategic growth and development of OLEDWorks for new and emerging markets. He has more than “…20 years professional experience in engineering, project, and account management in the semiconductor, equipment manufacturing, and organic electronic industries.”
