If you still think inflatable furniture is cheap and tacky, you should check out Israeli designer Tehila Guy’s new work—Anda, an inflatable chair. Inspired by flat packed furniture, the 26-year-old female designer hoped to bring a creative piece of furniture to market that is out of the norm,is easy to transport, assemble, and maintain, and most importantly, is affordable.

The chair has combined a round inflatable seat with a modern wooden structure, creating a cozy place to sit that looks special and different. Since it is mostly transparent, the chair goes with other furniture of any color and materials without clashing with the existing tone in a home.

Though many today consider inflatable furniture to be mainly used for outdoor use, I wanted to revive a design that in the 60’s was actually considered to be at the height of creative design.

Here’s video on how to put together the chair within a few minutes.
