Behr paint has announced its very first Color of the Year: In the Moment, a muted combo of hues of blue, green, and gray, which "[honor] nature to create a soothing atmosphere," according to a press release. The color is part of Behr's 2018 Color Trends forecast of 20 hues the company expects to see trending in the design industry within the next year.
In the Moment, much like its name suggests, is intended to create an environment that "evokes a sense of sanctuary and relaxation amid our always-on lives," says Erika Woelfel, vice president of color and creative services at Behr. The company's 2018 palette is being shown today at a Behr Pop-Up Trend Home in New York City's Grand Central Station. Visitors will be encouraged to ask color experts questions, as well as experience a 360-degree virtual reality video presentation.
