The IP interface operates on an existing network without requiring a computer terminal, and provides timed functions that account for seasonal changes and daylighting needs. DDN can be programmed to lower shades at 11 p.m. and raise them at 5 a.m., in accordance with LEED guidelines for minimizing light pollution.
