Though accent pieces such as luminaires, rugs, and furniture have the ability to be swapped on a whim based on the client or tenant, classic designs are meant for the long haul. These contemporary floor coverings use bright colors and dynamic patterns to refresh time-tested designs and materials, ensuring them a lasting spot in spaces demanding a bold focal point.
Painted Plains, Avo
Designer Brit Kleinman’s Painted Plains collection of leather rugs is informed by her Brooklyn studio’s anthropological aesthetic. Crafted from vegetable-tanned cowhides, each rug has a unique shape and features bold, custom graphics hand-painted by Kleinman using a water-based stain. A clear topcoat adds durability.

The series debuted at Salone in April.
