“We wanted a huge amount of light but didn’t want the opening to feel overwhelming,” Luce says of this Southern California project, so she turned to Barrisol’s stretch ceilings to diffuse the direct rays coming through the room’s spacious skylight. The material’s taut fabric panel, made from recycled materials, sits flush with the ceiling opening, allowing it to virtually vanish. More than 90 colors are available.
