As the latest addition to Interface’s collection of modular carpet tiles, Visual Code by American product designer David Oakey aims to humanize the user experience in a variety of space types, including offices, educational, and multi-family housing. Made of recycled, solution-dyed nylon yarn, Visual Code carpet tiles are carbon neutral, according to Interface. The collection comprises 10 patterns and features neutral textures and pixelated graphics mixed with saturated colors. Visual Code comes in the company’s Skinny Planks, and measures 9.8″ wide by 39.3″ long. Patterns include plain stitch, circuit board, haptic, and decibel. interface.com

She holds master degrees in urban ecological planning from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and in world heritage studies from Brandenburg University of Technology.
