German designer Ingo Schuppler created Schwarzes Gold for her namesake design firm. Schwarzes Gold aligns with the philosophy that lighting fixtures should be energy efficient, made with sustainable materials, and manufactured using eco-friendly practices. Made from FSC-certified charcoal and copper, the fixture uses an LED source. To discard it, users can dissolve and compost its charcoal-based component, and recycle its copper components separately. ingoschuppler.de
