New York City Just Pledged Money to These 35 Parks

The city announced a major investment in micro public space. Here's where.

On Tuesday, New York City officials announced a multi-million dollar investment in small-scale public space. The first phase of the Community Parks Initiative funnels $130 million into redeveloping 35 parks in low-income neighborhoods. The initiative also includes funding for 2015 fiscal year expenses and improving green infrastructure.

Here’s a map of the 35 parks, totaling 65.5 acres across the five boroughs.
