The Olympics are over, which means Olympic architecture coverage is winding down. If that makes you sad, then salve your imminent nostalgia with artist Clo’e Floirat’s “comical-satirical” London Olympic Drawings, as Dezeen describes them. Arms of Anish Kapoor’s ArcelorMittal Orbit (or, as Floriat calls it “The-Awful-Tower”) wrap the Eiffel Tower in knots, temporary seating sits outside of Zaha Hadid’s Aquatics Center, and bikers zoom out of Hopkins Architects’ Velodrome. Architecture is a natural subject for Floriat, as the French artist did a “foundation year in architecture” in the United States, and then a bachelor of arts in furniture design in France, and a master’s in design in the Netherlands.
