FROM THE ARCHITECTS:
The multi-purpose building in Occoquan Regional Park is a simple expression of site and program. The building’s stacking volumes are used to organize the program and navigate the site’s terrain. The volumes are also positioned to create diverse outdoor environments and optimize views of the Occoquan River. The building will act as a lantern, illuminating the special events held within, while capturing one’s imagination from a distance.
