Project Description
A new 4 bedroom custom residence located on an approximately six acre site. The site presented two distinctive features that initiated the fundamental organizational response. To the northeast and across a stream is a preparatory school that generates an excessive amount of activity. To the west and looking down the stream is the premier view through the landscape. In response, the house is organized with a two-story bar oriented east-west to the north and houses the kitchen, dining room, bedrooms, and auxiliary spaces. The bar serves as a buffer from the activity at the school. Separated by an ambulatory, the living room and entry area with vertical circulation, each occupy square pavilions with the living space taking full advantage of the premier view.
