After 72 years, one of the world’s first architect lamps has been given a face-lift. To bring the L-1 closer to Jac Jacobsen’s 1937 original, Luxo tapered the shade slightly and moved the light switch to the front. The fixture also now uses a 13-watt compact fluorescent bulb.
