Govi Rao Joins Lumenoptix Board of Directors

Govi Rao, the president and CEO of Branchburg, N.J.’s Noveda Technologies, has joined the board of directors at Lumenoptix, a manufacturer of retrofit luminaires based in Montgomeryville, Pa. Prior to joining Noveda, which creates web-based energy- and water-monitoring systems, Mr. Rao served as chairman of Lighting Science Group Corporation and as vice president and general manager of Philips Solid State Lighting’s North American division. In April, 2011, the Liberty Science Center honored him alongside Jane Goodall and Dr. Sanjay Gupta as a pioneer in the field of commercial-scale energy sustainability.
