Project Description
The El Monte Gateway project will be a model for transit-oriented-development in the region, providing a first-phase of 484 residential units (132 of them are affordable housing) and 25,000 square feet of retail space. This site is placed immediately adjacent to the El Monte Transit Station, which is the newest and largest regional transit hub in the MTA network, and creates transportation connections throughout the Los Angeles region. This is the first phase of a larger overall Gateway plan, which includes a variety of mixed-use buildings intended to invigorate this area of the City of El Monte and provide a catalyst for future development.
