Mona Johnston Zellers
Mona Johnston Zellers, AIA, is a partner at Johnston Architects where she leads project teams working in the public realm, including libraries, community centers, and education spaces. She is deeply involved in the Seattle design community, having co-chaired the Seattle AIA Honor Awards and served on the Seattle AIA board of directors and the Design in Public board of directors. She is also a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Washington’s College of Built Environments, where she earned her M.Arch in 2010. Mona’s award-winning work has been honored with AIA Seattle and AIA National Awards, and her personal contributions were recognized with the 2017 National AIA Associates Award and the 2023 AIA Seattle Young Architect Award.
