
The American Institute of Architects and the American Library Association have announced the winners of the 2020 AIA/ALA Library Building Awards, naming four libraries in the U.S. and Canada that "demonstrate design achievement, including a sense of place, purpose, ecology, environmental sustainability, and of history," according an AIA press release.
The jury for this year's awards comprised chair Jennifer Yoos, FAIA, of VJAA in Minneapolis, Minn.; Ann Beha, FAIA, of Ann Beha Architects, Boston; Erin Sterling Lewis, AIA, of O p e n Studio in Raleigh, N.C.; Kimberly Johnson of Tulsa City-County Library in Tulsa, Okla.; Clint S. Rudy of Suffolk Public Library in Suffolk, Va.; and Gail Scanlon of Philips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H.
