This week, we're sharing projects from Rotterdam to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and from New Delhi, to Primošten, Croatia, with several stops in between. In addition to the projects that we give more detailed coverage, we like to highlight some of the work that architecture firms share with us every day through the Project Gallery—the user-generated portion of our site. So far, we have nearly 15,000 projects, most of which were directly uploaded by firms to share with us and our readers.
In this weekly roundup, we showcase some of the coolest new projects to be added to the gallery—thanks to architects like you.

Twin Houses in Primošten
Primošten, Croatia
GEplus Arhitekti
"Houses design, in the form of the concept of two twisted volumes, reflects these two premises. Both houses together with their design and geometry strive in the direction of attractive views, and at the same time the shape of their volumes form large shaded outdoor spaces which are directly connected with swimming pools. This outdoor space is the 'heart' of the house, and good shading enables its use during most of the day."

Somerset County Technical High School
Westover, Md.
Becker Morgan Group, Inc.
"The 103,000sf career and technology facility provides an academic program for approximately 400 students in grades 8 through 12. The new facility houses a wide range of programs including automotive technology, biomedical sciences, business education, carpentry/construction, criminal justice, culinary arts, engineering design & electronics, health occupation, HVAC, horticulture, interactive media, IT networking, medium and heavy truck technology, and teaching academy."

Commercial Building for Kataria's
New Delhi
Urbanscape Architects
"The building is designed as a contemporary and sophisticated structure, with a detailed, attractive façade. The façade, developed in layers of laminam, is fashioned as a series of glass appended stone frames that double-up as display windows – allowing admission of ample natural light. Initially designed as 3-inch-thick stone blocks with multiple mouldings, the frames presently appear as flat blocks, given the floor-area-ratio restrictions within the area. The stone frames resonate perfect geometry within the building. What began as an exercise using the Golden Ratio, has evolved into a minimalistic, subtle, understated outcome with elements of beauty and intricacy."

Pingshan Performing Arts Center
Shenzhen, China
Open Architecture
"Flanking the grand theater is a variety of smaller functional spaces accessible both by a separate circulation system inside the building and through an outdoor meandering public promenade — so they can be conveniently used by the general public even when the grand theater is closed. Blurring the boundary of the building and city, the promenade links together a café, a black box theater, teaching spaces, rehearsal rooms, informal outdoor theater, and outdoor gardens on different levels. This interweaving of architecture and nature gradually reveals surprises and colors to visitors who stroll the promenade’s length from the ground floor plaza to the roof garden."

BVM house
Bovisio Masciago, Italy
Virginia Lorello
"Radical transformation for the interiors of a single-family villa in the province of Brianza, surrounded by greenery: with the simple demolition of the internal walls it was possible to completely review the distribution. The design choices in fact aimed to make all the rooms, originally dark and not very spacious, brighter and optically larger. The rounded shapes make the passage areas more fluid and the four materials used - brass, lacquered, quartz and oak - follow a compositional rhythm and precise geometric relationships to achieve harmony."

Hoc Mon House
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
TAA Design
"To have enough the number of rooms, we created two-story box blocks that penetrate the sloping roof. This creates a sense of volume like a one-story house in harmony with the context of surrounding low-rise houses and simultaneously creates an interesting space on the roof. This architecture is created from the contrast between the architecture of modern box blocks and the old stone roof. It means between the rough and scabrous material of the roof and the smooth of the box blocks."

Valley Children's Hospital, Eagle Oaks Specialty Care Center
Bakersfield, Calif.
SmithGroup
"Valley Children’s Specialty Care Center in Bakersfield, California is the first in a network of three strategically located pediatric care centers that will serve California’s Central Valley. Specialty clinics, administrative and service spaces are clustered around a grand atrium ‘Life Center.’ The Life Center is a warm, welcoming multi-story oval space that serves as a main lobby and central reception area that offers amenities and entertainment to keep both children and families occupied."

Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen
Rotterdam, the Netherlands
MVRDV
"Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, the first publicly accessible art depot in the world designed by MVRDV, has completed construction. Located in Rotterdam’s Museumpark, the depot features a new type of experience for museum visitors: a sturdy engine room where the complete collection of 151,000 objects is made accessible to the public. In addition to the various storage and care areas, the depot has a restaurant and an award-winning rooftop forest at a height of 35 metres. The construction completion paves the way for interior furnishings and the long process of moving the museum’s complete collection into their new storage facility."
