The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute has announced the winners of its 2021 PCI Design Awards. The 38 recognized projects exemplify "the creative and innovative use of precast concrete," according to a PCI press release. Ranging from multifamily projects to a Major League Baseball stadium, the 26 award winners and 12 honorable mentions include projects in both the building and transportation sectors.
The 2021 PCI Design Awards—a selection of four, industry-specific awards—special jury comprised Marvin Hartsfield, Hartsfield & Associates, in Springboro, Ohio; Kyle Knop, AIA, HGA, in Minneapolis; and former PCI chairman Robert Konoske. The building jury comprised Tim Cullen, Blue Ridge Design in Winchester, Va.; Monty Overstreet, FDG in Arvada, Colo.; and Cheryl Rishcoff, TRC Worldwide Engineering in York, Pa. The transportation jury comprised Reggie Holt, Federal Highway Administration, in Washington, D.C.; Bijan Khaleghi, Washington State Department of Transportation; and Glenn Myers, Atkins, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
