Having just celebrated its 10th anniversary, New York's Snarkitecture plans to dig its roots into the city's Hudson Yards neighborhood with Snark Park, the firm’s first permanent exhibition space.

“Snark Park will act as an incubator for a host of bold new concepts—a catalyst for our imagination of the future of cultural spaces,” firm partner Ben Porto, AIA, said in a press release.

Snark Park will be a home for a series of Snarkitecture's immersive art installations, and the art space will display three projects per year. Some of the firm's recent high-profile projects include 2015's “The Beach” and 2018's “Fun House,” which both debuted as the annual summer installations for the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., and “Bounce,” which was featured in 2018 in Hong Kong’s Harbour City.

“Our aim has always been to create architecture that performs unexpectedly, to explore the edges of art and architecture,” firm partner and co-founder Daniel Arsham said in the release. “With Snark Park we hope to encourage visitors to reconsider their built environment with childlike wonder.”

Snark Park will open on March 15, 2019, on the second floor of the Shops and Restaurants portion of 20 Hudson Yards In New York. Tickets will be available starting Jan. 31, 2019.
