Dezeen's Anna Winston takes a closer look at a quaint wooden house located on the outskirts of Prague in the Czech Republic.
Surrounded by fields and forests, the house--which was designed by Prague-based firm, ASGKDesign--features a roof with multiple slopes in different directions, which forms the structure's unusual shape. Large, glass walls on ground floor open up completely to the outdoors, and a veranda allows the exterior spaces to be enjoyed year-round.
The architects designed a number of features to fulfill the energy efficiency requirements of the clients, including an outer- and inner-wall structure that allows vapor to diffuse through the building. The house is slightly raised above the ground to aid climate control.
