About IdeaBrette Haus was born in the suburbs of Moscow with a straightforward idea: to grant people a possibility to move with the regular house across the world. We didn’t reach the goal in that way four years later, but we understood the opportunity to start our expansion in another direction and then bring the real idea to life on the prepared basis. Nowadays, we can offer unique folding houses which can’t be compared to any others. In the mobile housing market, it’s regular to think products must be something unusual or extraordinary to attract clients and we want to break this thought from the beginning by creating just wooden, neat and useful products for nearly every soul in the world.
Materials
The houses are entirely wooden for now. We have some rural living and camping experience, and it’s the reason we want to bring some forestry to our products, but also we understand the architectural and sustainability needs. Back in 2013, we worked as a team building an assembly line for houses made with similar technology as Cross Laminated Timber we’re using now. CLT has proven it, and also it’s still solid wood. The other details which are windows and doors made of wood too. As finishing materials, we have recyclable rubber roofing, metal fittings and wax oils used for natural painting effect.
Innovation
An innovative approach is leading in our current and future. The folding feature isn't a new one, but our hinge and space increasing is. We use a special metal hinge turn mechanism which is patented and unique for now. The useful space doubles feature is patented too. Also, we have about ten patents in our plans and three pending already. It will be assigned as a property of Brette Haus SIA. Our goal here is to make folding housing as available and usable as regular houses are.
Product
An affordable and sustainable house is not a dream anymore. The range of spaces 20, 30, 50 sqm is quite small for now, but we already have 70 sqm house in the development. We run with the price 700 EUR per square meter, and it's still not typical for EU market speaking about such durable material as CLT. On online web order platform, customers can choose different colours for painting and design. The system will be straightforward and usable, as it rarely is in wooden housing. After the order, we will offer you several collages with furniture from IKEA so you can buy it and furnish the house.
