Caudill Rowlett Scott

1985 AIA GOLD MEDAL: The Midwestern architect had an influential hand in curricula of architectural schools and how academic buildings should be designed [where?]. In his influential research in the late 1940s, the Oklahoma State University and MIT grad investigated natural ventilation and daylighting. As a professor at Texas A&M University, he founded Houston, Texas-based Caudill Rowlett Scott (CRS) with two other coworkers, and the firm became renowned for its work in education facilities.
