Niko Kapa is an award winning architect, industrial designer and researcher based in Dubai.With an interest in the pioneering research and investigation, as an architect he maintains an active role throughout the design process, in the interrelated fields of architecture and design. He has a genuine interest in the building and construction industry, with a specific focus on sustainability as well as the cultural importance of architecture. His work is addressing urban planning, architecture and industrial design, with an effort to build links between theory and practice.
Studio Niko Kapa supports innovative architecture, using research as an integral part of the design process. Purpose of Studio is to raise awareness about architecture and urbanism within civil society. Its ambition is to provide a public forum for debating the present and future of architecture and cities. It wishes to develop the cultural value of architecture and design and the recognition of the social impact it has on urban regeneration, building communities, education and vocational development.
Studio’s projects have earned international recognition by winning prestigious design and architectural awards. The research work has been published and exhibited internationally.
