How firms answered some of the key questions that contributed to this year's ranking.

How do you make the cut in the Architect 50? Here’s how the Top 50 firms in this year’s ranking answered some of the key questions in the survey. All data is from calendar year 2018 unless otherwise indicated.

Median number of employees was 113.

Of the 39 firms who reported an increase in revenue, the median percentage was 15%.

The percentage of new positions was derived by dividing the number of new positions added by total firm employment.. Median percentage reported was 8%.

Staff turnover rate was derived by dividing the number of positions replaced by total firm employment. Median percentage was 10.9%.

Median percentage was 43.0%.

Median percentage was 23.5%.

All firms have signed on to the challenge.

46 firms submitted a report to the AIA.

12 firms offered higher salaries for LEED AP.

48 out of 50 firms responded yes.

Median percentage reported was 1%.
