Which architecture firms top their peers in quality of work? Who are the leaders in sustainable design? Are the biggest firms making the biggest waves? Those are just a few of the questions that our annual ranking of architecture firms, the ARCHITECT 50, aims to answer. Unlike other rankings, which list firms by size or revenue, our ranking is based on how firms perform in three categories: business, sustainability, and design. Participating firms answer a survey and submit a design portfolio. Scores are tabulated to establish a list of the Top 50 firms overall and in each of the three categories.
