Nuage Sideboard, Cassina

This modular sideboard was inspired by its designer Charlotte Perriand’s time in Japan.

Nuage combines metal panels and hardy oak in the construction of modular storage units whose rectilinear components vary in height. First designed by French designer Charlotte Perriand in 1956, Cassina re-released the collection of sideboards (shown), bookcases, and other storage pieces in 2012 as its I Maestri Collection. The sideboard comprises oak shelves and vertical anodized or black-painted aluminum supports. It is available in five heights with sliding metal-panel doors that are painted red, blue, green, yellow, gray, white, or black. cassina.com
