The Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design program at Parsons in New York City has announced the dates for its annual summer intensive lighting design studio: June 11 – 18, 2018. The weeklong studio is an “immersive experience” and is open to students and working professionals. Design exercises explore the relationship between light—both natural and electric—and architecture. Classes meet daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in addition to select evening activities, and will be taught by Parsons’ Lighting Program faculty. Course fee is $2,100. Housing is available through the university at a fee of $755.
Registration and housing information is available via The New School Open Campus website.
Questions specific to the intensive lighting design studio should be addressed to Craig Bernecker at [email protected].
