Product: Pauma, Thinkglass

This surface’s texture of this bears the mark of its maker’s hand.

Business owners often leave their own distinct mark in the products and services they create. Thinkglass owner and glass artist Michael Mailhot used the palm of his hand to give shape to the company’s Pauma texture. Meant to hide the appearance of fingerprints and spills, the texture is incorporated on the underside of a three-layer thermo-fused glass sheet to create a 1½” thick kitchen countertop. The texture is made per order, resulting in a slightly different look with each product. thinkglass.com
