Cool Spaces"Great television about architecture is about as rare as great television about art," writes Mary Louise Schumacher, "which is to say it's been a very long time." She's talking about Cool Spaces, a new show by Stephen Chung, AIA. It's an architecture show that works like a travel show. ARCHITECT interviewed Chung last month; check the website later today for that Q&A. [Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel]

Bill Cunningham's New York:  Bill Cunningham and Editta Sherman enjoy one of the most productive relationships in fashion. Sherman, a photographer, serves as muse and subject for Cunningham's "Façade" series, which sees the photographer shooting his model against some of New York's most distinctive architectural backdrops. Because it's Cunningham, it hardly feels staged. All 88 prints are on view at the New York Historical Society. [The Globe and Mail]

Quote of the Day:

"It's very rare that you build land...Normally you just build on it." --Jay Cross of Related Hudson Yards on Hudson Yards [The Atlantic Cities]

Tweet of the Day:

Number of the Day—7: That's the number of ecolabels Blaine Brownell, AIA, discusses in his latest post. Brownell tasked architecture graduate students in his Sustainable Building class at University of Minnesota's College of Design with creating a label that could be used on a variety of building products.
