The following is a press release from Woolpert announcing its acquisition of Waller, Todd & Sadler.
Woolpert announced today that it has acquired Waller, Todd & Sadler Architects, an architecture firm located in Virginia Beach, Va. This addition bolsters the architecture, engineering and geospatial (AEG) firm’s design and planning capabilities.
Woolpert President and CEO Scott Cattran said, as part of the firm’s strategic plan, Woolpert was looking for an architecture firm with strong leadership, management and technical resources.
“We conducted a nationwide search for an architecture firm with an impeccable reputation for quality design and excellence in customer service,” Cattran said. “We wanted a firm that would expand our military architecture portfolio to the Navy and Army and add to our growing portfolio of projects with the Air Force, education and athletic institutions, as well as municipal clients. We found all of this with Waller, Todd & Sadler Architects. We have been working with Waller, Todd & Sadler Architects for a couple years now and are tremendously excited to welcome them to Woolpert. Together we will expand our services to our Virginia clients locally, and to our federal clients globally.”
Like Woolpert, Waller, Todd & Sadler Architects has worked extensively with municipalities, the Armed Forces, educational institutions and commercial clients, completing more than 2,000 innovative projects.
“We are thrilled to be teaming with the nation’s premier AEG firm to continue the delivery of quality products and services to our clients,” said David Isbell, Waller, Todd & Sadler president. “Woolpert’s talented, forward-thinking staff affords us the essential resources to further our support locally, as well as expand our worldwide reach. We are all very excited to begin this new chapter.”
This acquisition is the latest step in Woolpert’s long-term strategic plan, launched in 2015, to become the world’s premier AEG firm. It follows a minority recapitalization completed in December 2017, the addition of Strategic Consulting services in March 2018, and a corporate restructure designed to accommodate organic and acquisitive growth that went into effect at the beginning of this month.
Woolpert, which was founded in Dayton in 1911, has more than 800 employees and 28 offices nationwide. Waller, Todd & Sadler Architects was founded in 1956 and employs 34.
