Project Description
This manufacturer of contract carpet products relocated their Chicago showroom out of the Merchandise Mart to an adjacent 4 story century old building within the Kinzie Design Center. Selected for its loft character and daylight windows at both ends of the space, the 3,500 sf showroom is defined by sandblasted rustic brick walls and exposed wood framing.
The new Chicago showroom succeeds both as dynamic space and a neutral backdrop that allows the carpet to be the focal point. Clean and contemporary while respecting the historic nature of the space, the showroom showcases bold, yet elegant use of materials to express the client’s culture and highlight its diverse product line.
