Project Description
Stantec Architecture Inc., an international architecture and design firm known for designing amenity-rich residential buildings around the globe, is pleased to announce the official June 26th groundbreaking of the new BLVD condominium located in downtown Sarasota’s Rosemary District. Stantec provided architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, lighting design, mechanical, electrical, civil and structural engineering for the 18-story tower – an iconic architectural landmark that will offer residents a sense of place within the vibrant arts, entertainment, and waterfront beauty of City. Developed by Core Development, the 400,000 SF tower includes 49 luxury units with spacious private terraces designed for contemporary living and dramatic views of the of City, Sarasota Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico. Customized floorplans, ranging from 3,550 SF to 5,400 SF, were designed with a natural color palette to evoke an inviting, natural, refined, and relaxed atmosphere. “The interior spaces were designed to focus on the views. We created a retreat for urban dwellers using clean lines and an abundance of natural light,” said Veronica Zurita, senior hospitality designer in Stantec’s Orlando, Florida office. “Inspired by the bold elements of Sarasota’s rich modern architectural history, the contemporary aesthetic provides a sleek canvas to capture distinct moments where lighting and art are showcased.” Luxury amenities include a rooftop pool and sun deck with an outdoor summer kitchen, fire pit, and contemporary cabanas, daybeds, and lounge areas for entertaining or enjoying the sweeping views. The first level of the building provides residents with a fine dining restaurant and wine cellar. The wine cellar is a circular space inspired by wine barrel design and offers seating, personal tasting areas and resident wine storage. “As an architect and a developer, I understand the importance of working with professionals that embrace collaborative teamwork,” said Kevin Daves, CEO and owner of Core Development Inc. “The BLVD is the first project that I’ve developed in which I hired one firm to address all facets of design and engineering. Stantec performed in a seamless and productive manner during the design phases to create a spectacular building for our BLVD condominium buyers.”
