Project Description
FROM THE ARCHITECTS:
The proposal means to respond to the demanding conceptual requirements requested, offering a building which allows multiple flows to take part in an unrivalled experience inside and outside of the building. The water, the tree, the sun, the light and the air inspire the proposal and optimally, solve the urban, constructive and conceptual section, as well as the exhibition discourse of the building.
The building is articulated at the bottom by a big maritime square which organizes routes, accesses and the intended public uses and at the upper levels around the foyer, where the exhibition areas are concentrated in neutral floating boxes, which are placed as overlapping blades in different levels narrowing the vision to the forest, the port and the sky, feeding subtle visual space relationships. The layout of the exhibition rooms allows for multiple routes and versatile exhibition schemas inside and around the nearby terraces.
