GREEN IN AND OUT
The particular naturalistic and environmental interest of the area around the Balze del Valdarno, a particularly attractive place from the tourist point of view because it is located in the beautiful Tuscan countryside about 30 km from Florence, was the main reason why we decided to create housing units for both medium-term tourism and “hit and run” tourism. The adventurer who wants to know and live the culture of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy as it has been defined Castelfranco di Sopra and its surroundings, will be able to stay and find refreshment in housing units designed and created to live not only within a highly technological and efficient space but also directly connected with the surrounding natural space.
The PROJECT is configured as a redevelopment of a private area a few kilometers from Castelfranco di Sopra, with the construction of two buildings consisting of two floors above ground and divided into two units each of about 50 square meters walkable. The two buildings are closely connected to each other through an outdoor swimming pool.
PARTICULAR ATTENTION has been addressed to a type of design designed to optimize the natural energy supplies by making the most of the natural and thermo-physical boundary conditions.
THE REAL DESIGN OBJECTIVE was to create highly technological living spaces designed to maximize energy efficiency, living comfort and the value over time of the work as well as a management of management costs absolutely limited.
THE TECHNOCLOGY of the building structures is of the reinforced concrete frame type, horizontal concrete sidecement slabs, double pitched roof with wooden loadbearing structure and Tuscan tile covering, vertical vestments in YTONG autoclaved aerated concrete blocks.
