Project Description
This carefully crafted interior remodel efficiently inserts a second bathroom and takes a tired home-depot level kitchen and makes it into the center of the house.
Although located in the lower flat of a 2-unit building that we had previously remodeled (see Nordquist Residence), the interior design is stylistically different, reflecting the clients’ European origins and high-design sophistication. Large, over-scaled white subway tiles contrast with the powder blue plastic laminate-clad cabinetry, while overhead an Artemide pendant provides the right contrast between design and style. A hallway closet and an unused nook off the hallway was converted into a second bathroom, with classic finishes such as Carrara Marble and white subway tile; the angled ceiling adds a dynamic touch to this narrow space, culminating in an 11-0” shower tower.
