Tobin | Parnes has provided design and coordination for the reshaping of the existing roof deck at ink48, a Kimpton Hotel, in the vibrant New York City neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen.
Included in the scope of work was the removal of an underutilized swimming pool and raised spa deck. Accessed from both the luxury penthouse level suites and the public guest elevators, this newly claimed deck space has allowed for a more flexible outdoor venue for the hotel. The increased roof deck area has been designed to blend seamlessly with the existing roof, including the decking, parapet walls and surrounding exterior finishes.
The roof can now accommodate a multitude of events with greater ease while still providing hotel guests and others with a commanding view of the NYC skyline.
