Project Description
Hub Group retained SCB for the architecturaland interior design of their new corporate headquarters. The Class-A, four-story, LEED Gold facility reflects and reinforces Hub Group’s business objectives, culture, brand, and commitment to sustainability. The design team created a streamlined and transparent building, featuring a high-performance, floor-to-ceiling glass curtain wall to capitalize on natural light. The building’s highly efficient operating systems optimize interior comfort for employees. SCB designed the work spaces with an “inside-out” methodology, taking into account user movements, comfort, and needs to form highly functional adjacencies and to design collaboration spaces. Hub Group’s brand identity was reinforced by incorporating Hub’s ubiquitous green shipping containers as low partitions to mark break-out spaces. The new headquarters is speaks to the company’s forward-thinking goals while remaining true to the community-oriented culture.
