Project Description
The proposal submitted by VMS won the Design Competition. VMS designed this 60,000 capacity stadium with a view to paying tribute to the rich regional context. Strong cost controls were implemented to prevent cost overruns typical in such projects. The design is inclusive, serving all stakeholders – spectators, players, media and administration – equally. The stadium conforms and exceeds best practices and ICC requirements.
