Project Description
A once vacant restaurant building in a vibrant business district now features a new facade for a realty company. A new 90’ long by 20’ tall screen wall stands proud of the existing building face. It acts as a perforated wall that provides a space between itself and the existing building where a new glassed in vestibule entry and open patio are situated.
The screen wall is constructed of multiple layers, first being the vertical cruciform steel columns that tie back to the existing building, followed by the diamond latticed steel straps, and finally the 1x1 horizontal finished wood strips. An opening in the wall creates views from the patio out and also reveal the steel structure behind the wood strips.
The patio is open air with views through the screen wall. Fabric shades installed above provide shade during the warm summer months.
